Bodywork as unique as your dog

What is canine bodywork?

Canine bodywork includes an in-depth assessment on body structure & movement in various gates, conformation, muscle development & range of motion these are only a few assessment techniques. After this assessment various techniques are applied specific to each dogs based on their assessment. Techniques used include massage, soft tissue immobilization, myofascial release, acupressure, osteopathy, laser therapy and aromatherapy.

Benefits of bodywork include relaxation, improved function & decreased recovery time of muscles, improvement of posture & range of motion. Increased circulation while providing lymphatic drainage. Decreasing muscular tension, stiffness and sore muscles. Myofascial release is also a method used to allow past trauma to heal. Therapeutic laser is included in all sessions which has proven to decrease pain and inflammation while increasing cellular regrowth and healing time.

All sessions are provided in a positive force free approach & based on the dogs comfort level. Owners are sent a custom report on their dog along with exercises to do with their dog based on the dogs needs. There are various achievable goals during bodywork sessions & I am happy to discuss the needs of your dog.
